  • Best of Show, Mercomm Annual Report Competition, for a Marquard & Bahls annual report. (I edited the report for 14 years.)

  • International Technical Publication Award of Merit for “The Endocrine Debate” about chemicals and the human endocrine system, for the Exxon Chemical international magazine, Chemsphere.

  • International Technical Publication Award of Excellence for “Seconds to save,” about 9-1-1 telecommunications, for the Northern Telecom international magazine, Navigator.

  • International Technical Communication Award of Achievement for “Searching for oil from space” in the Exxon Corp. international magazine, The Lamp.

  • International Technical Communication Award of Excellence for “The mighty chip,” about integrated circuits, for the Northern Telecom international magazine, Access.

  • Gold Quill International Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for “The Motor Oil Handbook,” about motor oil and car maintenance, for Pennzoil.

  • Headliner Award from Association of Women in Communication/Houston (at age 33).

  • Best of Show, Society for Technical Communications, for Pennzoil’s “The Motor Oil Handbook.”

  • The Art Directors Club of New York City, Merit Award, for an innovative capabilities brochure for Jesperson Construction.

  • International Technical Communication Award (the top international award for an article in a periodical) for my article “Land Treatment: Safe Disposal of Petroleum Wastes,” for the Exxon U.S.A. national magazine, Exxon USA.

  • International Technical Communication Award for “Manipulating the Molecule,” about petrochemicals, for the Exxon Corp. international magazine, The Lamp.
